Dr Stuart Brown PGCert SAS MRCVS qualified from the University of Bristol in 1993, and joined what was then Cooper and Partners, having spent quite a lot of time with the practice as a student. Initially Stuart was keen to work with farm animals, but suddenly discovered a calling for companion animal surgery, particularly orthopaedics and neuro-surgery. His passion for orthopaedics has continued, and he offers a comprehensive service for cruciate surgery (TPLO, TTA, Closing Wedge Osteotomy and extracapsular stabilisation), fracture surgery, correction of limb deformities and general joint surgery, with a particular interest in knee and trauma surgery.

Stuart has recently studied for and successfully gained the BSAVA Post Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Surgery (PG Cert SAS) and has been awarded Advanced Practitioner status in this field.

In his spare time, Stuart has 4 very active gundogs, whom he enjoys walking and training in his spare time.
