We have recently received reports of confirmed parvovirus cases in the local area. We are advising all clients whose dog's vaccinations are not up to date to please contact us so that we can discuss preventative measures.
Canine parvovirus is a serious and highly contagious disease that affects dogs. The parvovirus damages cells inside the small intestines of a dog, which can affect its ability to absorb necessary nutrients. The result of this means that dogs, including puppies, will become very weak.
If your pet is displaying any of these symptoms, please contact us immediately. Parvovirus cannot be treated at home and requires urgent medical assistance.
